I planted bermuda grass two years ago and it has no got as thick as i though it would. it is still kind of spotty in alot of spaces. what can i do to make it think. should i reseed? i was thinking of using sahara seeds. I mow once a week and will fertilize on 5-30. now this is where i get confused. some say you should fert with N 5 lbs every 1000 sqr ft. every month. this where i get lost. please help. one other question can reseed my st augustine with bermuda and will it switch? how long would it take? thanks for your help.

5 lbs. of N per 1000 s.f. per month every month will probably kill it graveyard dead quickly.Re think that, what else are you doing?

That is pretty much it. like I said on the 30 i’m going to place 11.5 lbs of the scotts turf builder.(26-5-13) Well i was told to divid 100 by 26 and that should tell me how much to put per 1000sqft. is this truethis is the southern turf builder with iron. what can i do?

1 pound or 1.5 pounds of actual nitrogen per month on bermuda is ok during the growing season. for 1 pound, divide the first number on the bag of fert. into 100–ex: 25-5-10 would take 4 pounds per 1000 to equal 1 actual pound of nitrogen. don’t confuse the term “nitrogen” with “fertilizer”
