El Toro and Empire together?

So my original plan of buying empire at lowes has kind of fallen thru. Lowes has quit selling it, due to low demand. I got a few patches started, and it looks good.
My dad, who lives pretty close to me, has a yard of el toro, and he’s offered to let me take some plugs out of his yard.
To my eye, there is not much difference between the looks of empire and el toro. What do the experts here say? Do they look pretty similar? Am I better off plugging the empire I have and this process taking much longer, or should I speed it up with an abundance or readily available El Toro?
thanks in advance….

I think the El Toro has a much wider blade, but you probably have to be right on top of it to notice. El Toro is one of the fastest spreading zoysias, so it should be good for plugging.
