EarthWorms

What could be killing my worms. I haven’t used chemicals in a long time. Also grass (St. Aug.)is dying at an alarming rate. Circular patterns anywhere from 6-8 inches to 3 ft. I live in Houston and we haven’t received much rain this year. Should I be able to see chinch bugs if I look closely?

Are you wanting this insects in your yard? Earthworms are good for aeration, to many can be a problem though

The circular patches you are experienceing are very indicative of a fungal problem. Check with an agency that can give you specifics such as an agricultural extension or a university that does agricultural work. The death of your earthworms may be related. It definitely warrants seeking out professional help for your lawn.
