dead yard

I own 4 1/2 lots in the city of norfolk,va. The problem i have is this the front of my lot has about 12 pine trees that ring my front yard. i have been having getting any thing to grow there other than azaleas. Is there a type of grass seed or sod that will grow in heavy shade? new to the lawn thing never was a problem whein i lived in texas.

You’ll probably have to go to a ground cover like monkey grass.
