I truly enjoy this forum and all who contribute. I have learned quite a bit about lawn care, and after restoring my (severely neglected) yard over the past three summers it is 100 times better than it used to be… All my neighbors who thought of me as the “crazy guy on the corner” now stop and ask me how I get my grass to look like a golf course. 😉

Dchall, would you consider posting your 30 page report on organic lawn care? Or perhaps selling it? I’ve been searching for information on the web and have come up with some resources but I would love some more of your input.

VooMan, oh jeez, do you live on my street? There’s a guy on the corner who had so much crab grass and crazy things going on, yet this year his lawn looks fantastic!

Did the guy on your corner get the crazy idea of building a bunch of REALLY large islands in his yard and till them up himself?

Did the guy on your corner build raised flower beds all around his house with concrete blocks and do all the work himself?

You know what? I think my neighbors are right. I must be crazy. hahaha

For anyone who might be interested, I do have some pictures up at http://www.vooman.com/yard/ I apologize that they aren’t organized, and the pictures are from last summer, but I promise you there has been much improvement since then. I really need to get out and take some updated pictures and organize them on the site. 🙂

Compare these pictures for a good before and after:

Ah, my obsession is finally paying off… I am so proud… hahaha

Dchall… I don’t want you to give the report away. I just hope that when you feel it’s ready you will consider publishing it. I’ll gladly pay… 🙂
