Crowfootgrass weed in floritam

We installed 13,000 s.f. floritam sod four weeks ago. Install site is southwest Florida. We have not mowed it yet. I have noticed large areas of weeds growing that we have identified as crowfootgrass.1.) What causes crowfootgrass2.) Does lack of mowing contribute to the problem?3.) How should I get rid of the problem?4.) Can you recommend a maintenance program and correct products
