I live in southern Maine and my lawn is over run with crabgrass . Is there any thing I can do before spring.

Spray crabgrass killer….two applications-10 days apart. After the crabgrass is dead, power rake the lawn and re-seed with desirable grass before the cold weather sets in. In the spring apply a weed preventer labled for lawns,(such as ‘Scotts Halts’).
