Control of centipede grasses

We are trying to grow a lawn of fescue type grass, but we’re having a tough time eliminating the centipede grass(es) that continue to grow. We live in Virginia Beach, VA. Is there a fertilizer that will fortify the fescue and retard / eliminate the centipede grass?

There are practices that will favor the fescue and discourage the centipede. Set your mower to the highest setting and the tall fescue will shade out the low growing centipede.
