Cold Night

I seeded some bald areas in my Bermuda sodded lawn about 10 days ago. It has began coming in nicely and is around 5/8 of an inch high in the majority of areas. However, tonight, it is going to be about 37 degrees, about a 25-30 degree departure from the past two weeks and then it begins to warm up after tonight. Will my seedlings be ok, or should I cover them with some form of thatch from my compost pile. I just de-thatched my lawn and the thatch is dry and I have plenty of it. Would this be a good idea to use it for insulation tonight, or will my new grass be ok. The rest of the lawn is lush and dense, so I am not worried about that.

Yep, it will definitely help to cover the new seedling! Just make sure to get the dry thatch removed when temps. return to normal.
