clover and carpet grass

I live in central Fl. My back lawn is bahaia grass. Clover has been growing in the bahaia and lately it seems that where the clover grass is now there is also carpet grass. Is clover carpet grass? How do I rid my lawn of both of these? It seems the more I pull out the more I get!

Use 2-4-D (anything with dicamba) for broadleaf weed control in Bahia grasses. Follow directions especially safe temperature application guidelines. Only way to get rid of “carpet grass” or “Crabgrass” is with Arm and Hammer Bakiing Soda. Grass blades must be wet. Apply a light coat evenly, I use a flour sifter. 3-5 days later vegetative is dead. Pull out dead. Bahia should be survive. Go with light and repeated applications to find thresh hold of kill without overdoing. Both of those problems sound like lawn is overwatered. Remember: Weeds don’t take over lawns…we allow less than favorable conditons for the grass to grow and it retreats and is then filled in by the plant most suited to soil host conditions.
