Chinch bugs (how to kill)

ive sprayed with triazicide like 2 times.. each time it has rained that night. Is it ok to keep spraying…will it hurt the lawn?
any better stuff to use? half my front yard is gone

First off, of course, be sure they’re the cause.I’ve read that bifenthrin is the best (Ortho makes one labeled for ants and termites, but it’s the same, available at WalMart); after that, I’ve read acephate had good results. Only one I found for home use is powder, though. Because of that, it’s labeled for fire ants. Be advised: chinch bugs are reportedly building a tolerance to different insecticides, so if one doesn’t work, try another. Good luck.
