Centipede is Dying. Green Blades turn dark-red to purple

I just moved to this house in the winter. Centipede Grass turned green then we had some cold nights (28F) and warm days (75F). Green Blades are turning redish to purple and now looks like the Centipede is dying and going dormant. I have big spots where the Centipede is dying. The blades look like this:

I tested the soil my self and I got:
pH between 7-8 N low P High High K High
I am planning to send a sample to my extension office for further analyis.
Any ideas? How can I lower the pH without burning or kill the Centipede? What kind of disease is this that turns green blade into purple?
Any help will be really appreciated. I live in LA, USA
