centipede in florida

centipede grass was recomended on this web-site preferable over bahai. i live in jacksonville and have not seen any centipede lawns in this area. does any one in fla. have any experience with centipede grass? pro’s or con’s ??? thanks much!

Centipede is very common (I would guess at 20% – 40% of the lawns) 30 miles North of you in Kingsland, GA – right off of I-95.
It really makes a pretty good lawn when you compare the effort/reward ratio.
