centipede grass

My lawn is 85% centipede with some bermuda grass. Also included in my yard is bahia grass that I would like to get rid of by killing it and not harming my centipede and bermuda. What can I spray on my yard?

look for POAST also known as Grass Getter.

The POAST label says it will kill bermuda.

vantage is post for ornamentals; spray every 3-4 weeks; may do a lot of good, but bermuda is tough to kill.

Metsulfuron (Manor) herbicide does an excelent job on bahiagrass. It will cause some temporary discoloration on the bermuda and is pretty tough on centipede though. Manor is labeled for both turf types but the usage rate on centipede is less than on bermuda. I would imagine the majority if not all of the bahiagrass is in the bermuda. However, if you have to use the manor on the centipede be careful not to over apply and expect some serious yellowing. Always read and follow label directions.
