Can’t get rid of Zoysia
suzanne – posted 09 July 2002 06:40
Help!! I have killed half my lawn, put up a physical barrier between my lawn and my neighbors lawn, and I have pulled zoysia until my hands bleed. It’s still there! Isn’t there anything that will kill zoysia without killing my lawn?

Why in the world are you trying to get rid of the zoysia? You can’t get any better type of grass.

I hate zoysia! It is yellow in the winter and looks ugly in the summer. I want a nice tall fescue that feels great between your toes.

Fertilizes it and put down iron once a week and you can’t ask for anything better. Fecue is only pretty in the winter and fall. In the summer it’s brown and thin looking

zoysia is vulnerable to msma, you can get it from lesco. check the lable and treat accordingly.this after three to four sprays should take out the zoysia.i’ve used it on dallis grass in bermuda lawns.in doing so ive sprayed fescue (hoping to kill it),it never did.at the same time we can’t use msma in zoysia because too much will kill the zoysia.
