Bugs in new sod

I’m in Eastern NC and last week I had a new Centipede Sod put down and it seems to putting roots down already because, I Think, I water well every morning and the ground stays soggy and the new grass looks good so far except for a few spots that are still brown with a few shoots coming up. I was told wait a few more weeks befor replacing these spots. I have noticed insects crawling around that I cannot name and it’s not too bad but I was wondering if it is too early to apply Bug B Gone. In the past I had a an invasion of grass eating insects and they destroyed a lot of my old lawn.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
