Browning around my fence and flat spots

Had tiff 419 put in about 3 months ago and its been doing good. Lately in my back yard the middle of the yard is very green but around the fence its gone brown. I feel that I try to water evenly. Is there another reason why this is happen or is it just that I need to water better around the fence line. Also, where I walk most the grass has gone flat and not thick looking. Is there a quick fix for this or just don’t walk there anymore and let it fix it self?

Make sure your getting good water penetration- take a shovel, slice into the turf about 6 inches and take a look. If its really dry down below, you need to water for longer duration. The lawn may also need to be fertilized.
