Celebration Bermuda Sod

I’m planning to install 700 sq.ft. backyard putting green using celebration bermuda sod. I live in South Louisiana and wanted to know if it were better to lay sod now as it would have at least 3 good months without any cold temps or should I wait untill spring? Also, my yard is 100% common bermuda and wondered if the celebration would take over the common if I were to plant plugs over the remainder of the yard?

You can go ahead and sod now, and yes, the Celebration will crowd out common, but not 100%. You will always have a little common here and there.
