brown dirt

My builder filled my land with brown sandy type of dirt. I plan to seed my land. Should I buy black dirt to put over the brown sandy dirt before I lay seed, or will the brown sandy dirt be ok?

Jason,

Get a soil test from your local cooperative extension office. It is the only way to know for sure what you have.
