Blue Silver looking Centipede

My neighbor has a Centipede sod yard. It was planted approximately 1 1/2 years ago. This year it looked great until about 2 weeks ago. The grass now has a blue/silver look to it and it is not growing like the surrounding grass. Any ideas on what this could be? This is not happening on the whole yard, only spots. It gets the same amount of water as the rest along with the same amount of fertilizer. The neighbor beside her also has some of this blue/silver looking grass. Could it be a fungus from watering at night? I told her to start watering in the morning and she started today. We live in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, about 50 miles west of the Coast. Thanks for all the help.
