Best way to level a Bermuda lawn

Hi..my fertilizer guy told me the best way to level some REALLY low spots in my lawn was to peel back the sod and put top soil underneath. My lawn is well established and the roots are deep. Does anyone know the best way to ‘cut and peel back’ a 1 sq yard section of bermuda? Many thanks!

I would get some good top soil and fill it with thin layers, allowing the grass to come thru between each layer.
