Bermuda/Centipede

We planted centipede sod end of last season. There is bermuda in it in large patches throughout the yard. Not sure if some of the sod wasn’t bermuda or what happened. We want the centipede to take over. Can the centipede eventually smother out the bermuda or will the bermuda take over the centipede. What should we do to try and correct this problem. Thanks!
