Bermuda Overseeding question

Some of you may remember a past post of mine where I planted some fescue here in N.W. Louisiana by mistake thinking I had bought bermuda. From what I now understand, I am WAY to far south for the fescue & it will not take the heat down here.
IF I OVERSEED IT WITH BERMUDA, WILL THE BERMUDA COME UP & GROW WITHOUT THE GROUND BEING BROKEN UP AGAIN & THE SEED BEING COVERED?
The fescue is coming up fairly well so far. It was planted on Memorial Day & is maybe 1/2 tall but still with alot of exposed dirt showing. If need be, I can break ground again so I can cover the bermuda seed, but would rather not if I don’t have to.

Seed-to-soil contact and moisture are the two main factors in seed germination.

Maybe a light topdressing after you seed. But as was said “soil to seed contact” is crucial.
