Bermuda grass turning purple

I seeded bermuda grass about three weeks ago and it came up within a week. The grass maintained a green color for the first two weeks. However, in some areas it has began turning purple (and some dying) and the patches are spreading fast.What can I do?

Soil – sand mixed with mulche and starter fertilizer when seedingWater – was watering twice a day and have cut down to once a day. Some areas were getting too wet.Climate – south Texas.

Please help me care for my new lawn.Thank you.
