I have a problem with my lawn that I need answers for.

My lawn look great in the spring and early summer, but by the end of the summer,it is almost all gone because of brown patch or fusarium blight.

I try not to water it too much and have applied fungicide, lime, tried different grasses.

What grass can I plant this fall that will not give me this problem to deal with next summer.

I NEED HELP —- PLEASE

using fungucide is probably the worst thing you can use on the lawn. They kill off benefical fungus including mycorrhizal fungus which acts as extended root system for majority of plants and another one that help keep harmful fungus under control.

Go over to dirtdoctor.com and its search engine for garlic tea, corn meal and potassium bicarbonate for harmful fungus. Maybe this will lead you in the right direction. I use 20lbs of corn meal that i get from animal feed store per 1000sqft as preventative measure. You will have to get some compost which is loaded with microbes on dead turn to re-introduce them into the soil. Use high protein grains like corn meal, soybean meal, cottonseed meal or alfalfa meal to feed microbes once in a while. Don’t ever use fungucide products!
