Depends on where you live, but I’m in SC and was told to only do in after the speing green up and later in the Fall. Temps over 90 will destroy the lawn. Also advised to apply it at night (or dusk) when its cooler, and wait a day to water.

Hope this helps…

You might try putting out a weed and feed with atrazine late in the day. Also, you can probably spot spray the weeds with mix of atrazine and image (use 3/4 strength of each if you mix together) if done late in the day. Just limit spray to the weed as much as possible.

Image attacks weeds through the roots. It does not translocate from the leaf down, it relys on getting washed down to the root zone. As many have observed, Image applied to turf grass can trash it about as well as RoundUp. If your weed problem is relatively minor, a few spots here and there you can use a pump sprayer, place the nozzle on the groud at he base of the weed and give it a quick shot right into the ground. This keeps it off the blades of the turf, and gets it down to the root. I generally flush after the shot with a cup or so of water. Weeds die quickly, turf is not exposed. Works for me on 419 and I have used this when temps were in the 90s.
