no,no,no. use image for most of your weeds, and i would like to know where you live and your fertilization schedule- stay away from the asulox- you’re not licensed to use this product.

Thank You Ted…I live in Central Florida, I have tried everything humanly possible to remove the crabgrass, sedge and assorted weeds from my St. Augustine Lawn…I have even replaced over 2/3 rds of my lawn…killing it off with round up and startting all over..I have a lawn care company, actually my 3rd..and no one can get this under control, they all told me I needed asulox..so I have it and need the dilution rate, I am thinking 1Tbls per gal..Thought Please Maryd

Anytime you use a high powered product such as that,it is nearly impossible to dilute it down to homeowners use.Even on our turf farm we have damaged grass using it.Not a good idea,in my mind.

as i recall the labeled rate for it was 1.5 oz per gallon of water, and do not use surfactant in the mixture.

atrazine and image would help your situation greatly as far as the weed control goes- the greater question is why do you have so many weeds??? i would like to hear about your fertilization plan and if you have soil tested- also how much and when do you water and tell me about mowing.

Ted,thank you. My lawn is cut a minimum of 2x a week, set on the highest setting, never cuting more than a 1/2 inch. The lawn is watered 2X a week, putting down 1/2 to 3/4 inch of water at a time. If we get rain the sensor on the irrigation prohibits the irrigation from turning on, additionally I use a drip irrigation system for my flower beds…soil was tested last year by the local ag dept and balanced with potash…soil levels are fine…lawn is serviced by a local company which aerates the lawn, uses preemergence, weed , fertilizer and insect control…As stated earlier, I have replaced about 2/3 of my lawn due to weed problem, killing it off with round up,resodding only pto have the weeds come back.I have used atrazine, image, basagran, baking soda, oxi clean, tide and nothing kills these weeds of…I have literally hand pulled weeds, only for them to reappear…It is only because of the recommendation of lawn care professionals ,that i purchased the ASulox, which took me a year to find …as you can see TED, ASulox was and ismy last resort…Thank you Mary D

mary d, the dilution rate is 1 oz per gal for use over 500 sq ft. i use it on my lawn with a very visible effect on the crabgrass. my crabgrass comes from the neighboring property (common use area) in the subdivision.

i think you need a new lawn care company. the reason it took you so long to find asulox, is that you’re not supposed to use it. you’re working too hard, find a licensed pro in your area, it’ll make you’re life easier.

For crabgrass in St. Augustine lawn a light dusting of baking soda when lawn is wet will kill crabgrass and not harm the lawn. Follow with Halt to prevent seeding. I need asulox for Alexander grass. Is there a place on-line to order?
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
I am from the north and it has taken me five yrs to learn and undertand seville lawns. No 1…
