Hi,
Im wondering what do you think about landscaping with artificial turf. You can find a lot of this products out there, and a lot of providers.
They’re becoming more and more popular and i’ve done my research to balance pros and cons.
Apparently they’re not only for sports, but can work greatly for landscape, parks and recreational i final products seem pretty good. from these pictures you cant really tell the differences http://www.actglobalsports.com/products.htm

A friend of mine put in about 1200 sq ft. It looks nice and it’s convenient for those of us in the desert with small areas. They built in some irregularities etc that add to the realism. He hates to deal with his lawn so for him it is perfect.
For me though, I don’t care for it. I love tinkering with the lawn & my landscaping. The only complaint I have about his is it seems to lay down a bit in places and I have no idea how he cleans dog junk and leaves/blossoms out of it… It’s dusty here and we can go months without a decent rain.

Its pretty amazing what they have done with fake turf now days. It has very good texture! The only thing I don’t like,(from the fake lawns I have seen in my neighborhood), is that the grass blades have too much of a shine. Less shine would make the turf look even more real.

I have also noticed the shine on artificial turf. More noticable to me was the “grain” or the way the mill ran. I still saythe in a few years the weeds will move in. Poa will be there….
Round up ready front lawns!
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
I am from the north and it has taken me five yrs to learn and undertand seville lawns. No 1…
