Hello everyone. I’m looking for some pictures of different grass types, but can only find close up pictures. I want pictures of entire lawns in different types of grasses. The reason I want them is that I’ve got at least 3 types of grass in my lawn now, mostly fescue I believe, and am trying to decide what they all are and what it is that I want to switch to.
The back yard has a large area near the house, which my neighbor said he believes is bluegrass. Whatever it is, it’s the grass that I want the whole yard in. I live in the kansas city area, and until the last week, we have had very little rain this year. The rest of the yard was starting to need watering and turning brown, but this grass stayed very green with little water.The fescue seems to not be as strong of a grass, very thin and doesn’t hold up to our 5 year old and 2 dogs. It’s also a bit lighter of a green than what I want. The area that I do like (the “possible” bluegrass) is a deep green with thick blades, and has been the only grass in the yard to hold up to the conditions. Does this sound like bluegrass? Any pictures of large areas you can point me to?
