Alfalfa on zoysia

Has anyone else tried alfalfa pellets? I’m curious to see your results with pictures.

Do the test like I did. Just throw it down in a few spots and see if they blow up with life. A little bit goes a long way. I have a few dead spots where I put it on too thick :/

As soon as my new sod takes root, I’m going to try the alfalfa pellets. How did you put it down? I never realized that alfalfa would kill the grass.

I just threw it out there with my hands since it was a little big for the spreader. Anything that covers your grass can kill it. I had a bunch in one spot that expands when it gets wet and just made a dead spot.

I just ran into the same issue. I got a little too alfalfa happy and now there are a couple spots that have turned brown because of it.
