I have celebration bermuda put in a year ago. I bought a front reel mower. I mowed the lawn twice. The grass seems as if it is dead. The grass looks brown in spotty areas. I irrigate the lawn twice a week, and each day twice a day for 10 minutes each session. How can I help my grass grow healthy and maintain it?

Zoysia has been a very poor performer in North Florida. It has been touted as drought resistant which may be true… It can recover from drought stress. However in order to keep it green requires a lot of water. As you increase the water you also increase the opportunity for fungus so in our area we have seen lots of fungus problems turf turning…[Read more]

Saint Augustine when maintained correctly is still one of the best turfs in the south east if treated correctly you can continue to have a consistently beautiful lawn

As a LCO for 32 years and living in the Rocky Mountains, Kentucky bluegrass is prevalent. I find the variety of grass, less of an issue. When we encourage a deep root system for 4-8″ to form, the nitrates in the urine don’t take their toll like urine can with shallow 2″ root systems.

I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
