alsports2000 – posted 08 May 2003 10:44
Greetings to all. New to forum. Seeking info on who would supply me with St. Agustine grass for resell. I reside in South Texas and I understand that its the only grass that would with stand the hot summer months. I know there are several types of this grass but I’ve heard that the Seville is the best. Thanks. AL.

alsports,
I am not sure of your exact location or which farm would be closest to you, but a quick cursory search on google revealed several hits. Check it out at: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22South+Texas%22+%2B+%22St.+Augustine%22+%2B+%22sod%22
kurt,
As far as I know of, there is no viable St. Augustine seed available, nor has been for some time. St. Augustine propogates by a stolon (runner) that spreads out. You can plant this grass by sprigs, plugs, or by sodding.
Hope this helps you both!
