Zoysia or St Augustine…?

Which is a better choice for Charlotte, NC…Zoysia or St. Augustine?. I currently have Fescue and the heat is taking its toll…even though I have an irrigation system?..Frustrated in NC…

St. Augustine…absolutely not.

Zoysia…yes.

I’m in Florida used to have St. Augustine (hated it for numerous reasons…..watering, pests, etc). Put in Empire Zoysia and my lawn makes the St. Augustine next door look like garbage.

My water bill is 60% less too for irrigation. I have a second meter on it.
