Zoysia is yellow in a large area and green everywhere else?

I have had the same spot for the last four seasons in my meyer zoysia lawn that is yellow almost the entire season. It has seemed to get bigger over the years and I am very concerned that it will eventually spread everywhere. I had it treated with a fungicide from my turf care company a couple of years ago but it has not improved. Any idea what it is or how to solve this problem? Thanks so much!

Do me a favor and check how deep the roots go in that spot. Can you take a picture of them also? Where are you located?
I have a few spots on my lawn too that just won’t grow for some reason. But they have no roots at all. I’m thinking nematodes maybe?

You can get a nematode count for about $10 – $20.
Here is the problem however. If you have nematodes, there are no insecticides available to you to kill them. You are going to have to try some of the dubious products.
