Zoysia + Fescue for new lawn

I’m seeding my back yard with zenith zoysia. I know that it takes a long time to become well established. However, I would like to use the lawn as soon as possible. Is it possible to mix the seed with Fescue to have an established lawn fast and just let the Fescue die off and Zoysia fill in over time?
Please feel free to offer any advice, thanks!

resist that temptation, in my opinion. The fescue grass will just slow down your zoysia’s progress once it actually does germinate. Even if you did what you’re suggesting, the lawn wouldn’t be “usable”, though it might be nicer to look at. As long as you’re waiting on the zoysia to germinate, you should stay off of the lawn.
