i have a zoysia lawn. i have a bulkhead on salt water, that was repaired. 2 feet from the bulkhead onto the zoysia lawn was dug out. i would like to replace the zoysia. my question is: since the salt water comes over the bulkhead 2 times per year in storms (approx) onto that 2 foot section (120 feet along the bulkhead) should i plant zoysia plugs or can i just plant rye or some other seed for now and hope that the existing zoysia lawn overtakes it.
