Can anyone give me some advice on Yellow nutsedge. sprayed for it a week or so ago, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ll reapply.

May take several applications of herbicide to control. Take a look at this link http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/LH033

Mouse, what did you spray? Manage or something else.

Mouse,
What type of turfgrass do you have? If you have Bahiagrass, bermudagrass, centipedegrass, or St. Augustine grass then you will be good to use Bentazon(Basagran T, Basagran O)

I have fescue & bermuda. I’m trying to have the bermuda take over… slowly.
I sprayed IMAGE.

Image acts slooooowly. After two weeks the weed will weaken, hit it again with Image. If you are spot spraying, .5oz per 3 gallons. They should die completely 2-3 weeks after spraying. Also some watering is required after for it to be effective. Read the label for the exact watering info. Good Luck.

Image is very slow and needs to be watered in within 7 days. You will probably need to hit it again (and may be again in 3 more weeks). If you want fast action, buy a small package of Manage. It is a bit more expensive but it works well.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
I am from the north and it has taken me five yrs to learn and undertand seville lawns. No 1…
