white, ball-like lawn fungus

We have been finding a white, ball-like fungus that keeps popping up in our yard. They are about the size of a tennis ball. Does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them???? Thanks!!!

I am getting the same thing in SE Virginia. Have collected about two pounds of them. Plan to send pics to the Master Gardner at the local ag extension office when I get my pics back next week. Maybe they can help. If you get an answer from your local office, pls let me know.
