Which grass on Texas 2 acre yard

I have a 2 acre property in North Houston Texas. It consists of mostly sandy clay. I built a house and brought and leveled 50 loads of dirt 1 1/2 years ago. It has now mostly covered now with native grasses which I think is mainly bermuda. I just put a sprinkler system in and I had plans to do centipede but I hate to tear up the grass that has come in. Can you suggest a low maintenence grass for this area please? Shoud I overseed? Thanks, Gary

Usually tall grasses are considered lower maintenance because they don’t have to be mowed all the time to look good. Bermuda becomes a weed patch when it is left to grow tall.
You could consider any grass except centipede or bent. All the rest look pretty good when left to grow tall. Since you’re so near the Gulf, St Augustine is a great alternative. If you water it properly it can become a self sustaining turf that needs no irrigated water.
