HI, WE HAVE A NEW HOME AND HAVE HAD CENTIPEDE SOD PUT DOWN. IT WAS OVERSEEDED WITH RYE AND WAS BEAUTIFUL, IN JAN FEB AND MARCH. I PUT FERTILIZER DOWN(IN APRIL) AND BURNED IT BAD, IT IS STARTING BACK VERY SLOW. I BOUGHT SOME ST AUGESTINE PLUGS TO FILL IN BAD SPOTS AND WATER HEAVY MOST EVERY DAY. WHAT CAN YOU ADVISE ME TO DO TO GET A LUSH LAWN LIKE WE HAD IN FL. WE ARE IN CONWAY, S.C. NOW. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST SEED TO USE FOR OVERSEEDING THIS FALL, AND WHAT MONTH, ALSO THE BEST FORMULA FERTILIZER TO USE.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, DUANE CONWAY, S.C.

Duane,
I do not know the specific answer to your question, but I do have some friends near you that are into turf grasses. I will get up with them and get back to you.
In the meantime, I know this is off topic, but please take care in passing out your personal information like this on the internet. If you find someone in particular you want to give that information to, then most of these messageboards have private messenging options available to you, or you can ask them to e-mail you.
Just a quick safety tip.

Duane, I notice that you are not registered so you cannot edit your own post. Therefore, and based on WillR’s concern, I have taken the liberty to bleep out your address, but kept the town. I hope that’s okay?
There is so little privacy left for some of us who have been on the Internet for a while that it’s a relative matter, to reduce one’s exposure to solicitation, con artists, litigants, identity thieves, former spouses, stalkers, and I hate to guess what else, make it harder for them to connect the myriad pieces of digital information about us that are already out there in public.
Digital privacy is colliding with freedom of information, homeland security, shoppers’ discount cards, genealogy, cultural mores, and business greed.
Here are two sites that cover issues on digital privacy:
