when to fertilize

I live in south texas and i am not sure when i should winterize my bermuda tiff.

About the latest you can fertilize (for your area) is the end of Oct. However you can also make an application of iron toward the end of Nov., and this will help the turf stay green in cold weather. If your turf has too much thatch, de-thatch now, fertilize with any lawn food, and then apply the winterizer at the end of Oct.
