What’s the best way to spread sand to level a yard?

This spring I have noticed that my yard of bermuda isn’t very level and I would like to fill in the dips with sand but I don’t know the best way to spread it around by 15,000 sq ft of grass. I’m not sure my back can handle doing it by hand…

How level do you want it and how level is it? If you are talking about bumps and hollows of a few feet or less in width, you could use a drag-mat to even up the surface.

If the area is too large to do that by hand, perhaps you could beg, borow or steal the use of a small ride-on tractor to pull it.
