WET GRASS

I live in northern ca. and have a newly sodded front lawn, half of the lawn is in shade, half in sun. The sun half is starting to look good while the shade half stays wet and has ruts when it is mowed. Any suggestions? Thanks Dave

Use less sprinkler nozzle,(lower percipitation ) in the shady areas. Also you can apply some ‘Turface’ soil conditioner to the surface. Its the same stuff stadiums use to dry their fields during rainy periods. You can find it at most wholesale landscape supply companies. Don’t use more than the recommended rate….. as too much will cause excessive dryness!
