weeds in st augustine

I have had beautiful St Augustine grass for about a year. This spring I have seen a weed weaving itself into the grass that looks like a miniature St augustine, but it has real short blades. It tends to grow in small circular patches eventually taking over areas of the grass. I have tried to kill it using atrizine to no avail. I am wondering if it is a grass and how to get it out of my st augustine. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
