Uneven New Lawn
Lumpy Lawn – posted 22 April 2005 18:51
Ive recently purchased a new home in San Antonio. The builder did not allow me the option of the type of grass to put in my yard. H&H Landscaping has poorly laid tiff 419 over my entire lawn. The final grading was uneven and the sod was never rolled to help even out the high spots. In an effort to solve my problem I paid to have the yard rolled and topdressing added. My difficulty now is because that he lawn is so uneven that I cant cut the Tiff 419 as short as Id need to without scalping the high spots. What would be the best (and lest expensive) way to solve my problem? I do have extra sod that is residing in what will shortly be flowerbeds. Can I use that over the existing sod to help even out the typography?

Hey Lumpy, The right thing to do would be to have your lawn reinstalled properly. But maybe you can cut the areas that are bad out, and level them. Then put new sod in its place. it might not be the perfect answer but it just might work.
