uneven front lawn, please help if you can

My yard is new, my back yard shines with green grass as I took great care for weeks after I laid the sod. The front is getting there but no one took care of it after they laid it down. They did not put the sod next to each other tight and the ground dips in many spots. I tried using fill in garden soil where I can but it still seem futile. Will the elements level it out over time or will I always have a lumpy yard. Its not likt POT holes or anything but it may dip an inch or so and come back up.

It will remain relatively lumpy unless you do something. You might try using a core aerator and sweeping the cores into the low spots.

Believe me, it will not fill itself in! I had to get a 4-wheel drive lawnmower to handle my yard with the same problem!!

Man, a 4X4 lawnmower! I don’t think mine is that bad. Just isn’t as flat as I would like it.

Well, that comment was made in jest, though my husband would love it if he could get his hands on one!! Hopefully if we resod, we will get most of the old sod out and level our land a little more so it won’t be so bumpy.
