What type of grass do you recommend for a shady yard? I’d also like to sod. When is the best time?
My backyard is a mudpit thanks to heavy rain and a newly adopted young dog. Help!

Just as a test, I dropped a plug of Palmetto St Augustine under a large oak tree in my front yard. It took a year, but it’s actually spreading, sending out runners.
I almost forgot Do Not over water. Floratan /Seville all strains of St. Augustine are suseptible to fungus from over…
