Too much Ironite on St. Augustine

I applied Ironite to my St.Augustine lawn last Fall, and apparently used the wrong spreader setting. I put down way too much and my lawn has been a light green color (when I have been allowed to water) instead of a healthy dark green. Is there anything I can do to help it recover, or will it just take time?

It’s my understanding that ironite is quite safe at many times the recommended rates of application. You don’t mention any problems but if you’re seeingyellowing or dieoff it may be other unrelated issuessuch as fungus or insects. If by chance it has causeda tieup of other elements that will pass as rain leachesout the excess iron.
