Tifgreen vs. TifSport vs Tifway 419

I have had Tifgreen over the last 10 years and liked it well enough but I am now replacing my sod and see that the other 2 choices are out there. I was looking to possibly changing types and was leaning towards the TifSport. As one of the things that interest me is the possiblity of staying greener longer.
I also am not sure if the grass is about the same texture as it is very hard to tell from pictures that I could find on the net.
Any opinions or comments on a prefered grass or about this would be great. As an FYI I live in Southern California.

419 and Santa ana have the best winter color of the bermuda types i have experience with. They do however have to be de thatched in late summer/early fall- in order to be in the right condition to hold color. It also helps to make a couple of iron applications during the winter.

Tifeagle also has excellent winter color….so much so that many courses with Tifeagle greens are not overseeding them in the winter. I imagine, however, that Tifeagle greens would probably be so fast in the winter, that it would be hard to keep the ball from rolling off the edge of the surface on heavily sloped greens. But anyway, i digress. Tifeagle sod is also much more expensive than somthing like 419.
