Stress from too much water?

well things had been going good with my lawn but a few weeks ago we started having our normal afternoon downpours here in central florida. Now the grass has a lot of brown areas and has become very thin. very different from being dried out. Is it possible the stress is from so much rain being dumped on it almost daily?
HELP

Um fungus! That crap will get ya. I just had a bunch of spots and didn’t get to them for a while but luckily it was pretty slow moving. I just sprayed it with some lawn disease control from home depot last week and it stopped it.

I got some brown spots as well after the deluge last week, but it seems to be slowly going away as the grass dries out. What speficially are you using for fungus control? I am going to put some down myself if the brown spots remain.

I spread some soybean meal and sugar or milk and sugar, the zoysia grass often recovers in a week. I use only organic stuff so there must be a lot of microbes there. I suspect that sugar and protein boost their diversity and population which suppress some fungus.
